NamUs, or the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System, is a centralized national repository and resource center for missing persons and unidentified decedent records.

It is operated by the National Institute of Justice (NIJ), which is part of the U.S. Department of Justice. NamUs serves as a critical tool for law enforcement, medical examiners, coroners, and families of missing persons, providing a comprehensive platform to aid in the search and identification process.
